How to make high converting ad creatives?

I felt the exact same until I discovered a few things after being a marketing professional for some time.

First, I have to tell you that the fancy ad creatives do nothing. Why do I say that? Well, it‘s pretty simple. What‘s more important, to have a perfect design with everything else made poorly or to have a shit design but everything else is a killer?

I‘d always go with the second one. No matter what.

And now that we have cleared that, I want to tell you that I‘m not a designer. I know how to make a perfectly performing ad but I cannot paint the Mona Lisa. With that being said, I can only help you with everything but design.

So how do you get everything else right?

Here comes the interesting part.

If the design doesn‘t matter then you don‘t need fancy bullshit. And that applies to not just design but also the wording of your ads. Who cares if they‘re amazed by your writing abilities if they don‘t become a customer? Again. We only care about whether we made the reader buy or not.

You have to speak to your specific audience. If you intend to use a picture of a person then it has to be the same age and preferably the same gender as your target audience.

Only one thing about design: you have to make sure that the text you write on the creative is perfectly visible. The first thing they want to see is your text.

Your creative must be eye-catching. You have to make sure that the reader knows what you are talking about. Of course you don‘t have to put big bold words on a pink background but your creative has to make sure your potential customer immediately knows what you want.

Middle ground: you should settle with something that has the previously mentioned attributes. So make sure that your picture is connected to your text, make sure your text is visible but not the big bold real estate style and lastly, cut out all the fancy bullshit.
